Breeding FAQs

Are the foals for sale?

Sometimes! (usually not)
I don’t breed with the primary intention of selling, so most foals are retained for my own training and competition program.
However, on occasion I do offer a foal for sale. If you’d like to be among the first to know, join my email list to be notified if I decide to make one available.

If you don’t usually sell foals, why breed them?

I breed to produce the kind of sport horse I want to develop, train, and compete—horses with the temperament, soundness, and athleticism that fit my program.
Breeding allows me to raise the exact type of partner I want in the ring and under saddle.

Are you looking for more broodmares?

Possibly!
If you have a mare you believe would thrive in a dedicated broodmare home, please reach out. I’m always open to discussing suitable additions to the program.

Why are the foals not all registered with the same registry?

Registration choices are often determined by logistics and mare approvals, not by inconsistency in the breeding program.
For example, Belle is an Elite Hanoverian mare, which allows her foals—like Nacho—to be registered easily through mail-in paperwork with the AHS.
Our other broodmare, Kitty, is approved with both Holsteiner and Westfalen, so her foals can be registered through either registry.

Now that we are a Westfalen NA Inspection Host Site, we plan to register more foals with Westfalen in the future for convenience and consistency. Ultimately, each foal is registered through the registry that makes the most sense for the mare, the paperwork process, and the inspection schedule for that year.

How can I stay updated about foal news, inspection dates, or attending an inspection?

The Broodmares

The Broodmares: Elite Mare Sana’a Bella

Belle is an Elite Hanoverian mare by Sinatra Song out of a Metternich mare. She was bred by Peggy Lansing. Having competed her myself I am very much looking forward to having a foal from her.

We are thrilled with her 2025 colt by Ferdeaux.

The Broodmares: Miss Kit Mambo

Kitty is a full thoroughbred mare who is approved with the Holsteiner Verband. While only 16.1 herself, her foals are extremely tall (expected to be 17.2+). Kitty is a correct mover with gaits that are versatile. Her 2023 premium filly by Don Quichot is dipped in chrome from head to toe and inherited Kitty’s intelligent face. Her 2025 Long Island T colt is equally as chromey with impressive, scopey gaits.

Kitty is a wonderful broodmare, she could not be any easier to work on and raises sensible and independent foals.

The Broodmares: Habibi Van De Hazelhof

Bibi is an imported KWPN mare by Emilion out of an Indoctro mare. Bibi had a foal in Europe in 2016 by Arezzo VDL as a young horse before going on to jump up to 1.30 in Europe. After being imported, Bibi jumped through 1.20 with a young rider.

Bibi is a kind and intelligent mare who has powerful, scopey gaits.

We are looking forward to having such a super mare to breed from.

The Broodmares: Lady Aderyn*

Lady Aderyn is a 2021 Westfalen Mare by LevistoffZ out of a Prado mare. In 2024, she was the Westfalen 3yo Filly Materiale Champion. In 2025, she was the Westfalen 4&5yo Mare Materiale Reserve Champion. She competed in the USEF 4yo test with scores through 76%. She also was the 4yo Sport Prospect Champion at Dressage at Lexington. She finished 6th Place in the Pro Elite 4yo Sport Prospect Championship at Dressage at Devon and 7th Place in the 4yo Materiale Championships.

*Ladybug aka Lady Aderyn will only be doing ET as we are hoping for a debut in the FEI 5yos in the spring of 2026!

The Foals

  • My very first homebred, Birdie by Don Quichot out of the lovely MissKitMambo.

She was a premium foal at the Holsteiner Verband inspection in 2023 despite only showing the inspectors 3 whole steps of trot.

In 2024 she attended some USDF DSHB Classes with scores over 70% and qualified for Devon as the Reserve Champion Filly at Dressage at Lexington. She was the 2024 Holsteiner Dressage Breeding Filly of the Year.

In 2025, she qualified and attended Dressage at Devon. She was the 12th place 2yo filly in the country across all breeds and the Champion Holsteiner 2yo Filly. She also received ribbons at the Sallie B. Wheeler Hunter Breeding Championships.

Shortly after he was born, before going on the market, Teddy was snatched up by a professional.
